Apple-Raisin Pizza Pockets

Servings:6

This easy 5-ingredient snack puts warm apple-raisin goodness in your hands lighting-fast.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs. butter, more for brushing
  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 Tbs. raw sugar, more for sprinkling
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough

Preparation

  • Heat the oven to 400ºF.
  • In a large skillet, melt 2 Tbs. of the butter over medium-high heat. Add the apples and saute until tender and golden. Stir in the sugar and raisins.
  • Unroll the pizza dough onto a parchment-lined rimless baking sheet and roll or press into a 10 x 15-inch rectangle. Cut the dough into six 5-inch squares.
  • Divide the apple mixture evenly among the dough squares, piling it towards one corner. Moisten the edges of the dough squares with water and fold the dough over the filling, forming a triangle. Crimp the edges with a fork. Brush the tops of the triangles with melted butter and sprinkle with raw sugar.
  • Bake until the turnovers are golden brown, about 18 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.
