For me,Cookie Madnessworks because it’s focused (but not too focused), written by a truly obsessed blogger, and includes a photo with every post. Texan Anna Ginsberg bakes a batch of cookies every day and blogs about the recipe. That’s it. She occasionally includes non-cookie treats, such as cakes and candy. But she keeps it simple.
Anna isn’t a professional chef, but she knows what she’s writing about (she won the Pillsbury Bake Off four years ago). What I most relate to is the way she becomes consumed with finding the best fill-in-the-blank (chewy chocolate chip cookie, black-bottomed cupcake) and tries as many different versions as she can find, comparing and contrasting and commenting on them all.
Because I love cookies and love to bake, it’s comforting to be reminded daily that there’s someone out there even crazier about the topic than I am.
