I don’t like the strategy of “sneaking” vegetables into food to entice kids to ingest it. It seems like it would just be confusing to the little eaters, who would insist they hate spinach, even as they reach for anotherbrowniemade with spinach puree. How is that going to teach healthy eating?
But I do like what blogger Ju did over atThe little Teochew: added steamed, pureedpumpkinto an out-of-season tomato sauce to balance the tartness of jarred tomatoes. Added bonus: the pumpkin thickens the sauce as well.
I’m going to have to try this with canned pumpkin.
