Come mid-March, everyone seems desperate for a reason to celebrate. How else to explain all the green food and drink that have taken over every restaurant, bakery, bar, and grocery store?

Not that I’m complaining. Just looking for something more original than cupcakes or cookies “transformed” by green food coloring.

Here’s a blogger who delivers (and she’s not even in Ireland!): Sandee atLa Receta de la Felicidad(“Recipe for Happiness”) posted about her experiment sealing parsley and cilantro between homemade potato chips.

I don’t speak Spanish, but fortunatelythis recipeis very simple (andGoogle Translatedoes a credible job): Simply slice potatoes with a mandoline, place the herb sprig on one raw slice and top with another slice. The potato’s starch holds the pieces together while you deep-fry them.
