It might be corny, but I can’t resist making heart-shaped treats for Valentine’s Day. Frombrownies, topancakes, topb&j sandwiches, I’ve tried it all.

Even better, the recipe lets you make the dough a day ahead, so I can mix it up on Sunday, then bake a batch on Monday night. With a dish of hummus, this will send the signal that Feb. 14 is not just any old Monday night.
