Pie means a lot to me. It apparently also means a lot to the husband-and-wife blogging team atThe Pechebecause they dubbed January 2011 as Pie Month, and set about making as many pies as their busy lives would allow. They made 14 pies in all — some sweet, some savory — and each and every one is a knock-out. I’m so impressed (seeing as they have 3 kids and stilll managed to pull off such a delicious feat, and I have but one kid and haven’t made a pie in ages)!

After reading their list of pies, I’m also starving. But here’s my problem: which pie to make first? TheApple Green-Chili Pie with Cheddar Crust and Walnut Streusel? Or thePork Confit Pie with Creme Fraiche Potatoes and Puff Pastry? Or theBanana Cream Pie with Chocolate Chip Cookie Crust? Oh wait…. here it is… a pie made just for me:Bourbon Sweet Potato Pie with Bourbon Whipped Cream and Warm Bourbon for Dipping. Oh my word, yes!

If I were picking only one pie, it would definitely be the Pork Confit with Creme Fraiche Potatoes and Puff Pastry.
