Whenever I’m working with tomatoes, the first thing I reach for is my tomato coring tool, which is also known as a tomato shark. One look at this gadget and you can see why. It’s like a tiny spoon wearing a crown of shark-like teeth, and it can scoop the core out of a tomato far more quickly and neatly than the tip of a knife. It also hulls strawberries. Tomato sharks are available at many stores that carry kitchenwares.Sur La Tablecarries one for $13.00.
