It’s commonly used to flavor Asian soups, sauces, and stir-fries. It’s often used in the classic Thai dipping sauce, nuoc cham.

Substitute other Asian chile pastes made with garlic or finely minced fresh hot chiles and freshly minced garlic.

How to prep:

Spicy Roast ChickenCombine soy sauce with chili garlic sauce. Brush the mixture on the inside and outside of a whole chicken and roast in a 350°F oven.

Chicken Lettuce WrapsCook ground chicken with diced onions and mild green chiles until cooked through. Add chili garlic sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and lime juice and stir to coat the chicken. Serve spooned into Boston lettuce leaves and drizzled with soy sauce.

“Banh Mi” BURGERSSeason ground pork with chili garlic sauce and fish sauce and shape into patties. Grill and serve in crusty toasted buns smothered with mayonnaise and layered with sliced cucumbers, jalapeños, cilantro, and green leaf lettuce.
